PITCH DECK TEMPLATE (For Uploading Your Project this Friday!):
Submitting Your Project:
You must submit your project using Devpost by noon CDT on Friday, October 29.
We recommend creating your account on Devpost starting Monday, October 25, to get familiar with the items you’ll need to upload to submit your project, including:
- Pitch Deck Presentation
- Presentation Video of you and/or your team discussing your solution (3 minutes maximum). You can share this video as a link to a YouTube, Facebook, or other social media video. See Presenting Your Project, below.
Presenting Your Project:
Each team has up to three minutes to present their work. There will be a hard stop at the end of the allotted time. It’s nothing personal: We will share your videos during the livestreamed announcement event on Monday, November 1, and we want to make sure everyone's project has a chance to be seen!
Here are some ways that people present hackathon projects:
- Through a presentation (upload the files directly or upload it to Google Drive or SlideShare and add the link)
- Through a screencast or video (there are lots of tools you can use, such as Loom, YouTube, or Lookback)
- Through a product demo
If you build a mobile app, we recommend making a video and recording a demo of it.
It’s helpful to have one main presenter who is responsible for hitting all of the bullet points and managing the clock. You are welcome to have multiple presenters, however, just remember to keep your video to a maximum of 3 minutes.
Team collaboration:
You are welcome to use the Challenge Channels and Meeting Rooms we've created and shared in Discord (they're free!), but you can also use other platforms to collaborate during the Hackathon period.
If you have any questions, simply reply to this email and someone from our team will respond. Be sure to join our social media communities, too, and stay up-to-date on events, our members, and much more! All links are provided at the bottom of this email.
We look forward to seeing the great ideas you come up with this week!
Cheers to Impact,
Climathon Houston Steering Committee
If you have any questions about the hackathon, please post on the discussion forum.
